Hi there,
That video and the features described in it are specific to site hosted here on WordPress.com.
Your site, http://www.readasyougo.co.uk/, is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source version of WordPress at another host. It’s listed in your WordPress.com account because it’s connected here via the Jetpack plugin. That allows you to manage certain aspect of your site from your WordPress.com account, but you won’t see the same features and settings that are available for your WordPress.com site, https://readasyougocom.wordpress.com/
The Jetpack plugin does include a Payments block, similar to the one we offer on WordPress.com, that you can use to take either once-off or subscription payments. You’ll need to upgrade to a Jetpack Security or Jetpack Complete plan to use that block:
But to restrict content to only paying subscribers you’ll need to use a separate membership plugin, as Jetpack doesn’t have an equivalent of the premium content block at this time.
I see you’re already using WooCommerce on your site, though. So if you want to turn your site into a membership site, I’d recommend you rather look at the WooCommerce Subscriptions and WooCommerce Memberships add-ons available on WooCommerce.com for that.
You can reach WooCommerce support at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ if you have any questions about those plugins.

Hola!
I am also having trouble finding more information on these features.
From what I can tell, I too have the open-sourced WordPress.org hosted on another hosting platform (Bluehost) – with a Jetpack plugin (but not the Security or Complete plan).
Now I do want access to both the Payments block and the Premium Content block. I’m wondering if another option would be to purchase a WordPress.com plan, as set out in this link: https://wordpress.com/pricing/. Would that then give me access to the Payments and Premium Content blocks? And would it change anything regarding my current hosting with Bluehost?
Thanks!!

Hello there,

Because self-hosted WordPress is in use, purchasing a WordPress.com plan, wouldn’t help you. To do this, would be to create an additional site on WordPress.com – which would be completely separate to self-hosted WordPress.
To access these on self-hosted WordPress, you would need to use a Jetpack plan: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-blocks/payments-block/
