Can someone please tell me what the easiest way to back up my WordPress blog might be?

there is that, which gets tedious as you have to remember to export every so often. Another way is just do what my buddy does and use a blog editor and then set it to save a copy of every post to your computer when it posts new content. There are a bunch of them out there, my friend uses the scribfire plug-in for firefox but i dont have any first hand experience with them.

I use Blog Backup Online. It runs automatically and I don’t have to think about it. I don’t know how difficult it would be to restore from their backup though.
Hmmm… Mark, is it possible to pull down the export file using wget or curl? If so, it shouldn’t be that hard to write a shell script (at least for the *nix folks) and have it run daily from cron.

One easy solution is to periodically save “pages” as html files right to your hard drive. That saves images too, but maybe not comments. You probably have your blog set to display 5 or 10 posts at a time. Each such display can be saved as one html file. If you display 10 posts per page and your blog has 200 posts, that’s just 20 files to save. Then do another for the next 10 posts, etc. Simple.
