Easy-to-read font needed

  • Unknown's avatar

Apparently my font is hard to read, but I can’t tell the difference, since my vision’s OK. Are some of the available fonts considered “clearer” than others?
Also, note your site says Custom Upgrade clients can get fonts from TypeKit, but thought I read somewhere you were no longer supporting/allowing that?

    Thanks

Hey Sandra! As you have the Premium upgrade, you do have access to fonts through TypeKit. To access these, click Appearance → Customize → Fonts. You can play with those options to change font face and size, and take a look at the in preview-form before saving them to your live site.

Regarding which fonts are more legible, many people find san-serif fonts most legible when viewed on a computer screen:

We have many of those options available to you in the Customizer.
Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks much :)

I didn’t realize the fonts in that window were “it”! Thought I could purchase more options from TypeKit (or somewhere).
Anyway, just changed from serif, will see what people/you think.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Hey Sandra! I see what you meant about TypeKit now :)

To me, your new font choice quite clear. Of course, I could read it before as well, but some folks aren’t wearing their glasses like I am! Are you happy with the way it looks?

    Thanks!

Well, not quite. Not sure why I see some blogs with a crisp clear font, can’t tell what it is. Grateful to know it looks clear and the problem was probably the serif. I’ll continue to experiment, and think I really need to change the theme.
    Thanks for your help.
