  I think I should be allowed to add EASYRECIPE plugin – it would help me create my recipe index quickly – I am not good enough to create my own!
  Please add it or allow me to do so!

  You can’t use it. There is no FTP access and we cannot install plugins here at WordPress.com. That said, we don’t need to. See here for the recipe shortcode > http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/recipes/

  Thanks – but I want to add a drop down menu that shows all the titles of recipes on my blog under headings w.g. Chicken, Fish, etc etc Any ideas?
