  Can you host an ecommerce shop on wordpress.com without the need of purchasing a wordpress plan?

  Hi somename830,

  In order to setup an e-commerce site, you need to have Business plan as it gives you access to install WooCommerce plugin which does the e-commerce job.
  WooCommerce plugin installation is only available for Business plan.

  WordPess.com free account does not offer such access to install plugins.
