ecommerce and wordpress

  I am looking for a simple ecommerce store that can be integrated into my wordpress website. I host with Dreamhost and they offer a “CafeCommerce” and “ZenCart” option with my hosting plan. These are an additional cost to me monthly, and currently I have a small business and I am trying to avoid another monthly fee.

  I am seeking a free version of the store where maybe they charge per credit card transaction rather than monthly fee.

  I heard “Shopify” is a wonderful online store, but I know little about it. Does Shopify offer a “plugin” to wordpress? Am I building a store page that links from my website to the Shopify store, or does the Shopify page integrate directly into my wordpress page?

  There is no direct ecommerce integration for WordPress.com. If that is important to you, you might look into moving to a self-hosted WordPress site.

  What many people is simply link to, for example, their Etsy store from their WordPress.com site.
