eCommerce or Business Plan?
-
I’m researching, and looking to create, a website for a friend who’s in the process of starting up a small local company.
He wants to be able to sell items locally from the website as well as have access to reports regarding sales, profit, etc as well as being able to fully customise the website. As it’s a website for somebody else I want to be absolutely sure the plan I pick will be able to meet all his criteria.
Any advice on which plan to recommend would be appreciated.

Hi connorjack98,
We have some information about both of these plans, which may help you decide which one will be best:
The eCommerce plan will automatically install WooCommerce and some of the most useful extensions, along with several themes tailored towards online stores.
WooCommerce can still be installed on the Business plan — but you would need to go to My Sites > Plugins and do that part manually after upgrading.
Essentially, the eCommerce plan is focused on creating a store and is designed to try and streamline that process where possible.
If you have an idea about other features you would like the site to have, just let me know and I can check that will be possible on whichever plan you are most keen on :)
