ecommerce plans and domain name from go daddy
-
I currently have a domain name .rlcreations.co.za which is hosted by Godaddy as well as a email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) for which I am paying monthly – I want to be able to use the online shop function but was only now advised that this is not supported in South Africa and I should move over to WordPress and Whocommerce. How do I do this? What plans are available for me to still keep my existing domain name and email address and add the online shop feature / do I have to re register my domain name through wordpress? I am clueless as to how this all works but I need a online shop and my domain name and email address to stay the same – PLEASE HELP

Hi there,
First, You need to transfer your site from GoDaddy to WordPress.com, these are the steps:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/incoming-domain-transfer/
You will then need to upgrade your WordPress.com plan to Business or Ecommerce (if you did not do so when you set up your WordPress.com account)
https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/
Now you are all set up and can start creating your online store:

Good luck!
