eCommerce, subscriptions and variable reports
-
Hi. I’m going around in circles, please help.
I want to sell subscriptions to my digital reports that are location-specific. Ideally, I sell a package to the customer (e.g. one-time report; unlimited subscriptions; 5 reports per month subscription). Once purchased, the user searches by their postcode for the rekevant report, and downloads.
Any suggestions about the best way to build this please?
Help would be enormously appreciated. I’m going in circles for days looking at: eCommerce plug-ins (Woo), subscription plug-ins (Woo Subscriptions, etc), and membership plug-ins (IUMB, Woo Membership), but i’m confused by the best way to build.
Thanks
Sam

Hi there,
You would be able to use WooCommerce to sell digital products that are subscription-based using the WooCommerce Subscriptions add-on. I don’t know about the location-filtering aspect, though. For that I’d recommend contacting WooCommerce support directly, here:
https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/
You can use the Pre-sales option to submit a ticket there.
As for what’s possible in other plugins, it’s always best to contact the developers of those plugins directly. And for general advice on what plugins to use, the WordPress.org forums are a better place to ask:
https://wordpress.org/support/
These forums where you posted now only provide support for free sites hosted on WordPress.com, not for the open source WordPress software or plugins developed for that software.
