Actually each of these threads asks a different sort of specific question, and so are non repetitive, although these are of course related.
But thanks for your input, which of course did not address the question(s) at hand in a useful manner.
FYI I am quite aware of the standard WP info that your links points to. As a business owner, I do my homework.
What I am looking for is trial-by-fire tested feedback from end users like me who actually have hands-on experience with this particular e-commerce plug in.
I look forward to reading input (in any) by users who employ this technology themselves.
But, again, thanks. -

Hello kerin.
Thank you for your question!
Ecwid plugin for both WordPress and Joomla websites has built in functionality which allows your customers, who already have or will have an account in your website, to be automatically logged in to their new accounts in your Ecwid store.
Here’s how you can enable it for your WordPress website:
– install Ecwid shopping cart plugin
– get the ‘Single Sign-on API secret key‘ in Ecwid control panel > System settings > Apps > Legacy API keys (available for any paid Ecwid plan owner)
– go to WordPress admin backend > Ecwid plugin settings > Advanced > Paste the key to the corresponding field
– Save the changesThat’s it, feel free to test it out!
Also, in case if your website is built with other platform, you still can take advantage of Single Sign on API – more details in our article: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/portal/articles/1172943-single-sign-on-api

Hi kerin,
We need to clarify something about our message above:
The single sign on feature is built in to the Ecwid shopping cart plugin for WordPress downloadable (WordPress.org) and Joomla, unfortunately it isn’t available for WordPress Hosted solutions (WordPress.com).Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Thank you. -
