Ecxerpt not showing

  I’ve created a new post. I only want the excerpt to appear on my home page. My previous posts appear as experts, but the new one appear as full text. Settings in ‘Reading’ are set to excerpt only. Please help.

  Hi,

  The “Summary” option at Reading Settings in WP-Admin doesn’t affect whether full posts or abbreviated posts appear on the blog page. How to most easilytruncate posts on the blog page can vary according to which theme is activated. What theme is presently applied to the site? It might help if you would provide the website address (URL) as well.
  
  My previous posts appear as [excerpts]
  Did you create custom excerpts for those, as described in the Excerpts support page?

  I forgot to explain that the “Summary” option at Reading Settings > “For each post in a feed, include” applies to feeds and subscriber emails, not to the blog page, archive pages, etc.
