Hi,
Yes, that’s the way featured images are displayed on the Edda theme, as can be seen in the Edda demo. The Edda theme guide or “Overview” begins with this sentence: “Edda‘s sepia-toned images and stylish color give your content a unique, old-time look and feel.” Featured images that are in color have the color removed and sepia tint added, while black and white featured images just have the sepia tint added. Both of these effects are disabled by running the cursor over the image.

I didn’t find an option in the Customizer or elsewhere that would allow you to disable the tinting. It might be possible with CSS Customization (see the Custom CSS support page). If you’re interested in that possibility, then I’d suggest that you either submit a request to the CSS Customization forum or add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar at right here to call for staff attention.

okay thank youuu! ive added the modlook tag and tried open a discussion in the CSS forum!

@natashosays that is indeed part of the charm of Edda. But we can certainly disable that sepia effect with CSS. Something like this:
.entry-thumbnail img { -webkit-filter: sepia(0%); filter: sepia(0%); }Or if you wanted a partial sepia effect so it still has that vintage look:
.entry-thumbnail img { -webkit-filter: sepia(0%); filter: sepia(0%); }You would need a Business or Premium plan to support the custom CSS though.
