Edin Template Customization

I’m new to WordPress, so I’m not sure how accurate the previews of the templates are. I chose the Edin template, loving the way the preview works. But from the limited options, it would appear it’s not possible to make my blog look like that theme’s preview. Am I right? There are hardly any cutomization options.

I assume it wants me to PAY for something, but I’m concerned that I could pay and still not get options to make it look that way. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there, welcome to WordPress!

What are you trying to emulate from the theme’s preview specifically? As it’s a free theme, you don’t have to pay any extra to access the features that it offers.

If you’d like to use the grid format, it could just be that you need to add more child pages to your blog to fill that out. Hope that helps? Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any further questions :)

Whoops, I should mention that if you want to change fonts/colours/general CSS elements, then you would have to purchase a Premium upgrade. But as far as the theme’s basic structure, that should already be editable through the ‘Customize’ menu.

I did some really complex figuring stuff out, and I have kinda figured out how to do the full page header image that is shown in the demo. The demo image also shows that some CSS manipulation has been done, which means that can’t be done with the free theme (despite showing it as part of it).

I have managed to figure out some of the other stuff, but at this point, all I can’t figure out is how to put the search button at the top like in the demo.
