EDIN Template / Only one "news" from my blog displayed on the HP
-
Hello everybody,
I made my website with Edin template. I love it.
On the HP, I display my “blog page” news on the first “square”. But, I realize that all my news appear on the HP (one below one another), wether I would like only the last one to be displayed there. How can I do to display only the latest news on the HP ? Without deleting the old ones :D and keeping all the news on the “news” (blog) page.
If it is not possible with Edin template, could another template work ?
Thank you all in advance for you help !

It’s possible with any theme (template). At Settings > Reading, change the number at “Blog pages show at most” to “1.” Note, however, that this will also affect how your archives pages and search results display. For example, a keyword search on the word “the” would only display the latest post or page containing that word, with a link to the next result on the bottom.

Correction:
Ignore the above response. The “News” section of your front page is one of the three front page widgets displayed on the Edin theme front page template. By default the widget is titled “Display WordPress Posts.” You can set the number of posts displayed in this widget to anything from 1 to 10. Save any changes. -
Hello !
Well I have to say I set the “reading” section like you wrote. And it works :)
Perfect ! I just need to explore more all the settings.
Thank you so much :)

Hi!
Glad that worked for you, but the solution provided in my second post is more specific. It will only affect that widget, whereas the Reading Settings change will affect your posts page: http://xtrainingschool.com/home/blog/, archives pages such as http://xtrainingschool.com/tag/camps/, and search results, allowing only one post per page in each case.
