Edin theme added as a template to my website

How can I get the Edin theme to look exactly as it is as a template on my website? As in, I used to have a full website, I have now deleted EVERYTHING to start over and still, it just keeps loading a very basic blog site even when Edin is activated. What am I doing wrong??

It’s typical of WordPress.com themes that, in order to create a site resembling the theme demo, one builds the site as described in the corresponding theme guide. The Edin theme guide provides the necessary instructions. Its “Get Started” section, for example, describes how to set up a front page like that of the Edin demo.

It is unfortunate that you deleted the content of a site that used to be “full,” because it is typically necessary to delete little if anything from the previous theme after switching to another theme.

Hi @pasilverservice!
It looks like you may have had support help you reset your site to Edin’s demo content a few hours before you started this thread, so you site is as close to the demo site as it can be already (unless you manually recreate the specific content).
Can you tell us a little more about what you’re trying to achieve?

Thanks all! I had been struggling with this for two hours. I chatted with a WordPress support staff team member and they fixed the template up for me in 1 minute. So all good :)
