Edin Theme crashes

Hi there!
First of all I’m not pretty good with the codes, programming, html and stuff, that’s why I chose to create an easy and simple website on wordpress without advanced CSS access.
I created this website/blog and all was going just like I wanted to look.
Then, just because curiosity, I started switching to other themes. Even though they are just skins and don’t change anything, my website stopped working in some way. It was like half-opened, content disappear, then I totally gave up and I deleted manually all posts and pages, hoping that If I did it again it will work again, but not.I just simply want my blog look exact like the edin theme.
I am not able to fix it by myself. I set up exactly like it says on the instructions, but it just doesn’t work. For example – I want the three child pages appear on the home site as a thumbnails, just like it looks on Edin’s. I set up exact the same way, as a featured one, two, three page and it still doesn’t appear.Any ideas?
I’d really appreciate any help.
