Edin Theme decreasing space with the site and page titles

I want less space between titles.I changed the font size and line height in the style.css
font-size: 1em;
line-height: 1em;It shows up in wyswyg Microsoft Expression Web, but when I upload the CSS back to my hosting server, the changes do not appear. I was able to change the font from Uppercase, and it worked on the server so I know the new style.css is being read by the server.
Thanks for the feedback.

You can get help by posting your question in the Edin support forum at WordPress.org:
http://wordpress.org/support/theme/edin
You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

Be sure to provide a link to your site when you post so people can help you more easily.
Don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten every time the theme is updated to the latest version.
An easy way to add custom CSS is to install the Jetpack plugin and activate the Custom CSS module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS.
As alternatives, you could either install a standalone custom CSS plugin, or create a child theme.
