Edin Theme Directly
-
I really love the theme and want to purchase the full version… however, I feel that there is not much offered for $30. I would like to use fonts that arent listed (yes sometimes the right font IS everything!).
It says some coding is allowed with custom CSS. Will I be able to use my own fonts with that?
It also doesnt allow the import of other pages. Is that strict or is there a possibility of an update with more freedom? Should I just switch themes?
Thanks

Hi there, I’m glad you like Edin.
WordPress.com’s Custom Design feature allows you to use a curated set of fonts supplied through Typekit. If you need to use a specific font that’s not offered among our collection, you might want to look into a self-hosted WordPress site, where you’ll have the freedom to add any web font. Here are the differences between WordPress.com and self-hosted sites in case you’d like to compare other variations between the two types:
It also doesnt allow the import of other pages.
Could you explain a little more what you’d like to do with a specific example and I’ll be able to clarify whether it’s possible? You can import posts and pages from a variety of other platforms using our Import tool, but I’m not sure that’s what you’re after. Thanks!

Thank you for answering!
This morning I requested a refund for the theme. I am looking into self hosting (might as well if $30 still has its limitations!)
Thanks again! -
