Edin Theme doesn´t look centered on newest mac
-
Hello everyone!
I got a new mac book pro a couple of months ago, and my site is aligned to the left.
This problem is only in my new mac (I’ve tried using safari, firefox and chrome… ). In my oldest mac, looks great.
Can anyone tell me how can I fix it with CSS for example?
Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello iamblockhead,
Please remove the CSS code that hides the display of the WordPress.com toolbar and footer attributions. You are not in compliance with WordPress.com’s Terms of Service.
I’ll take a closer look at your site after you fix that up.
-
@iamblockhead, I’ve got a 3 month old Macbook Pro with the latest browsers and OS and your site is centered to me.
You may want to check the zoom level on your browsers just to make sure they are set to “Actual Size”.
-
The zoom level was one the first things I tried… Every other website looks great. This only happens with Edin Theme… But thank you!

Would it be possible to upload a screenshot so we can see what you’re seeing, in case it provides some clues?
Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/You can upload the screenshot – in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or PDF – in your Media Library so I can see it. Thanks.
Does it make any difference if:
– you temporarily remove your custom CSS
– you temporarily turn off all browser extensions/plugin-ins/add-ons -
What is your browser window size (height and width) on the new Mac? You can find that info here:
-
Thank you @kathrynwp!
Here’s the screenshot
As you can see, the widget area and & footer are aligned to the left
My new mac pro is 13.3″
browse window size (using safari):1280×695
screen: 1280×800
I’ve tried changing the screen size but it looks the same
My old mac book pro is also 13.3″ and the site looks good … wich is weird… -
That seems like quite a low resolution for a brand new MacBook. Did you change the screen resolution? If so, can you try returning it to the default in your system settings?
-
i.e. in your System Preferences for Display, make sure “Best for display” is selected next to Resolution.
-
One more question: do you see the same problem on the Edin demo?
-
@Kathrynwp Thanks for staying with me! :)
I have the default option… Never touched it… (other options are larger text: 1024×640; one without name: 1440×900; and more space: 1680×1050)
Like I said before, I tried changing it to this other options, but the problem remained.
The mac is new (bought it June)… It’s also the one with retina display…
About Edin demo, I also see it aligned to the left -
If you’re seeing the demo also misaligned there must be an issue on your computer, the question is what. :)
You didn’t mention if you’d tried temporarily temporarily turn off all browser extensions/plugin-ins/add-ons. Could you give that a try? It’s easy to do in Firefox with Safe Mode if you’d like to try that first:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
-
I have no extensions/plugin-ins/etc… It’s new!
Every other site looks good. It’s just this theme… -
I had a colleague have a look to see if they had any other ideas but unfortunately we’re both stumped at what’s causing this issue at the moment.
Do other theme demos also not look centered? For example:
https://forefrontdemo.wordpress.com/
https://gorandemo.wordpress.com/
Could you try reinstalling one of the browsers to see if that makes any difference?
