Edin theme – Excerpt on featured pages

Everything looks great and as per the demo version but I can’t edit the excerpts on my featured pages.
Image and title links to the correct page but it won’t pull any of the page text and still says “This is just a short excerpt for the about page.”
I’ve used this theme before and it just all worked so I have no idea what’s happening now.

Forum support is public. Volunteers are welcome to help as much as they’re able without needing to see a site’s dashboard. If an issue requires staff help, please add the modlook tag in the Tags area in the right column and we’ll be glad to help.
Derick – please do not ask for access to users’ sites in the forum.
petercavelsw – please don’t grant access to anyone you don’t know. WordPress.com staff already has access to your dashboard.
Were you able to find the excerpt editor? I see excerpts that are not the default ones on peteroflimestreetward.wordpress.com

No worries, that wasn’t clear. :) Do feel free to ask if someone would like to make their site public temporarily so you can better help with someone’s issue – folks are often happy to do that.
