Edin theme – hide menu for one page
-
Hi,
I have a hidden page on my site, that cannot be accessed from the menu, only linked to directly. However I need to disable the menu on this page so it cannot link back to the main site. Any insights gratefully received.
Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Edin also has a ‘full page template’ to enable it for the particular page go to Edit (the page.. > Page Settings > Template and choose ‘full width’You’ll find more info on using the edin theme here: https://wordpress.com/themes/edin/
Hope this helps

Hi,
Thanks so much for responding. The page is actually full width already, which took off the sidebar, but not the primary menu at the top. Is there any way of doing this?
Thank you!

@katerance
A Custom menu will display on every page in the site. Do you have a custom design upgrade on that blog? Please use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get a definite answer to the question which is: Can I use CSS editing to suppress display of the menu on the hidden pages on my site?
-
I use the Edin Theme as well, on one of my blogs, and I had played around with ‘no menu’, just changed the footer menu for different pages. As with ‘widgets’, you can choose the visibility for each widget.
-
You’re welcome @katerance, my prior comment may not be suitable for what you want to do though, but I hope it helps.

@katerance is referring to the top/header menu
but not the primary menu at the top.

well hi again galois, I’m sure kateance is aware that I am giving her a different idea / option altogether.. (but you are not) from having a top menu… timethief had given the idea of a custom menu, that can also be added anywhere in widget form…
I really hope you don’t make this into another argument, simply because you did not follow what I meant.

Thanks all for responses. Ill try all these things and see what I can do.

Thanks @timethief. I took your suggestion of the custom menu widget, switched to a sidebar menu and then switched it off for the page in question. Seems to be working great. Thanks for all suggestions!
-
That was afreestyler’s suggestion. I’m happy to know it is working for you. Happy blogging.
