Edin theme: link to posts page in cover shows all posts

Hi everybody!
I have managed a site with a static homepage and I wanted one of the three pages showing as an image in the bottom (the one in the middle) to be my posts page. I did so in the Theme’s options of the Customize design menu (sorry if the names for the options in the menu are not correct, I am using the spanish version and imagining how it would be in the EN version).
My problem now is that I get the whole list of posts (photo+title) in the middle position of the home page, instead of the image of the posts page and its title. Besides, in the posts page I don’t get the image I added in its config… this is a minor problem, although maybe it has something to do with the other one…
Anyone any ideas? Sorry if this is obvious, I’m new at wordpress and still learning all the time!

Finally I used a workaround making a new page to link to the cover… I haven’t been able to solve it properly, and I suspect that there is no better solution than mine :(
If someone finds a better way, I’ll be so grateful!

Could you clarify what you mean by the above? I’ve tagged the topic for Staff attention.
By the way, thanks for pointing out the theme customizing front page options with the Edin theme, which I’d been unaware of. I see that since I last looked you’ve removed the display of posts from the front page.

I’m afraid this is what happens when you try to link the posts page directly from the Edin front page.
If you’d like to include a link to your posts in one of the three front page sections, I recommend creating a static page called “Latest Posts” or something similar, giving it a featured image, and then using the display posts short code to show excerpts from your most recent posts. Here’s more info on how that works.
If you want to try this approach, but need more guidance, please let me know and I’ll be happy to provide more detailed instructions.
