Edin Theme Menu Centering & Hovering

    I have moved my Blog from Blogger to WordPress and am still trying to figure out what I’m doing so my apologies if this is simple and I’m missing it. I am using the Edin theme on http://www.thewholecook.com and I have a Premium account. I am not happy with how to the top menu appears. I’m looking for help (1) centering the menu under the header and (2) getting rid of the colored rectangle that appears when I hover over a menu selection. Thank you!

    Since posting this yesterday I have removed the header completely and added a logo which I also cannot center. So I have three questions total: (1) how to center my logo (2) how to center my menu (3) getting rid of the colored rectangle that appears when I hover over a menu selection. Help with any of these would be greatly appreciated. I have searched this forum and using google but every css I try hasn’t worked.
