Edin theme: need to keep default page published?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I am using the Edin theme and I have managed to create a frontpage layout like the demo site. However, to do this I have had to keep published a ‘default page’ as without it the layout doesn’t seem to keep to the grid. This is all fair enough, but I don’t want the default page to be visible as there’s nothing in it. Can it be kept live but hidden? Setting the page to visibility: private didn’t help. Any suggestions very welcome.

  • Hi there – your site looks good to me at the moment. The front page in Edin requires you to assign the Front Page template to a published page, whether or not that page includes any content of its own.

Could you link me to the specific page you’re trying to get rid of or let me know the title so I can look for it in your dashboard? Thanks.

    @ breathbeyou,

I can’t get the grid template to load properly so I have the nice little grid on [the] bottom.

What happens when you attempt to apply the grid template to a static page? Where’s the “grid on the bottom” that you mention?

    That option is not available

    @ breathbeyou,

What template options do you have?

  • Could you please provide a link to the specific page to which you’re trying to apply the Grid Page template so I can take a closer look?
