Edin theme not publishing as per thumbnail preview

  Hi gang,
  totally new to WordPress so forgive my newbieness.
  I’ve selected the Edin theme, however it is not displaying as the thumbnail preview- which is a main image banner with what looks like 3 images below which I assume can be clickable images that go onto different pages?
  Or am I just being fooled and I can only have 1 page with no clickable images?
  Hope someone can explain/help.
