Edin theme – Text overlay on home page

  Hello,

  I would like to overlay the body of my text over the featured image on the homepage. (exactly like the example in the theme demo). However I cant find an option to make it work. The only thing close is to use the page title but this then makes the menu unmanageable.

  Any ideas?

  apologies, it seems hat my account is still linked to an old blog so the link is irrelevant. I am working on a site in the background whilst displaying a coming page so not sure how I can let you see it?

  Hi there..

  It appears that you’re using the twenty fourteen theme.. Or are you just in ‘preview’.. the ‘text’ overlay in Edin is whatever you ‘write in text’ for the chosen ‘page’ also it has to be edited to be ‘Front Page Template’.. see more on the Edin Theme here.

  seems also to be hosted by godaddy.. so perhaps you should be in the wordpress.org forum?

  Thank you for the quick response. Changing the template worked perfectly.

  I will try the .org forum apologies – i didn’t realise the forums were separate.
