Edin theme translation bug
-
Hi!
I created a blog, using EDIN theme. I’m from Hungary, so i changed the language to HU, but the READ MORE section did not changed. It’s still in english. I think this is a bug.

Hi there,
Translations for themes on WordPress.com are not deployed until at least 85% of their text/strings have been translated.
The percentage of translated Hungarian strings is currently at 62% for Edin.
Would you be able to contribute translations for this theme?
GlotPress is the tool we use to enable anyone to contribute translations to WordPress.com. You can read more about it here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/glotpress/
If you’d like, you can help translate Edin by contributing to the theme’s GlotPress project page here:
https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/edin/hu/default/
We also have an in-page translation tool that may be more convenient for you:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/community-translator/
If you’re able to bring the percentage of translated strings to 85% or over, let me know and I’ll then ask our team to validate and deploy them.
Hope that’s clear! Let me know if you have any questions.

Dear siobhyb! Thank you for the fast reply.
I have finished the translation!“Note: These translations will only be activated on WordPress.com when 85% of the strings have been translated. Currently only 64% are translated. 41 translations are waiting. As soon as they are approved, 99% will be translated. “
It’s more than 85% :) I hope it will done asap :)

Thank you so much for contributing those translations!
I have asked our team to check over and validate them. I’ll let you know when I get confirmation from them.

Hi there,
I’ve heard back from the team and the translations that they’ve approved brings the percentage of translated strings over 85%.
If you visit your site, you’ll see that the “read more” text is now correctly translated on the home page. :)
The team did make a few tweaks to the submitted strings and also had the following suggestions for improvement:
- Footers should be referred to as lábléc and not lábrész.
- Try looking in the monthly archives. %1$s has been translated as Próbáljunk betekinteni a hónap bejegyzéseibe: %1$s. This didn’t seem right to the team as it translates roughly as We should try looking in the monthly archives. They suggested Keressen a havi archívumban or Tekintse meg a hónap bejegyzéseit instead.
You can also visit the strings that are still marked as awaiting approval here:
Let me know if you have any questions around those. You can also make use of our community translator tool to update/improve strings as you come across them in the future.
Thanks!
