Edit Comments
-
Dear Sirs,
I have been invited to a blog as “author”, and started to work with it.
As for practicing, and to improve it, I have been trying to edit one of my own comments published few days ago. But, unfortunately I cannot get any “edit menu” for comments; or, “edit” option at the comments screen ? I have already gone through your Support Pages; and, again, I cannot reach to the menus you mention.
Am I doing something wrong ? Any help available at your side ?Best Regards. Montserrat

Hey there,
You can edit your own comments by clicking the “Editar” link next to the where the comment appears on the post in question. Here’s a screenshot of that view–note the “Editar” link towards the upper right corner of the page.
You can edit your own posts by selecting the “Editar” link made visible by holding your mouse over the post on the Post page in the blog’s dashboard.
Best,

TY P. for your quick reply. Unfortunately “Editar” link does not appear on my screen, nor on screenshot per your mail. Any further idea to help ?
Tks again. Bst Rgds.

Hi Montserrat, a small correction to the above information. You have an “author” role on the blog, which has fewer rights/privileges than an “administrator” role, for example. An author can edit, publish and delete their posts, as well as upload files/images. An author can view all the comments, but not modify or delete them. So, you can edit your own post, but not a comment.
You can find more information about user roles here.

TY so much.
This is exactly what I was wondering. However, as just starting with it, I was missing a “certificate”.Tks again. Montserrat
