Edit customized sidebar widgets
-
I’ve customized my sidebar and have the headings I want, but can’t seem to put entries into them. I can add links to my blog roll but any new widgets I’ve added, I can’t find the area to edit/update them.
I’m sure this is really easy and I’m being a bit thick sorry!

No problem. There are 2 types of widget – those you can change and those you cannot. These are illustrated http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/12/24/what-is-a-widget/
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/12/24/using-the-text-widget/
This will help with the set up and configuring of widgets.
And this will help you understand blogrolls, links and categories and their relationships.
Happy blogging! -
Have you tried this:
When you go to presentation –> side bar widgets, and you get to the widgets, once you’ve moved one into the “sidebar” field at the left, there will be a little square at its right end with a small blue bar across the top. (does not apply with some widgets such as “search”) Click that square and you’ll see areas to add text. Is that any help?

Am still struggling (sorry!)
Blogarama and blogtopsites have both given me html code so I can put their “buttons” on my blog. For example blogtopsites have given me:
It’s not an image so I can’t upload and use it like one, and I tried RSS but either am not doing it right or that’s not what I should be using.
Apologies if this is a really obvious question, I’ve read all the FAQ’s you’ve posted (V helpful ta!) but am still not familiar with a lot of the language/ideas…
