Edit Date Not Functioning At All– help

Is there a problem on this area right now? I cannot edit my date and time on my entries, the boxes to manually change the date and time are not showing up at all.

helloooo? Anyout out there? It’s been 2 weeks and I’ve not received any help on this.
I have a password protected blog. When I open “write” tab the timestamp/date are always incorrect. I have to refresh the page and try to beat the refresh by highlighting the date and typing the correct date and time on my entry. What happened to the drop down slots where you could just type that in. Mine don’t show up at all. Is that because I am using crappy IE7?
can someone please help? This is very annoying.

You see the little calendar icon in the sidebar, right beside the word Edit? Click on Edit.

Here………… here is a video of EXACTLY what happens when I click “edit” by the missing calendar. It switches to the word “cancel” and nothing happens at all. Where IS the calendar? On mine, you only get a glimpse of it when you REFRESH the page.

By the way, you’re doing it right. With me, it works just fine. I’d suggest contacting support. There’s not much anyone can do as volunteers, if what you’re supposed to do doesn’t work.

Well hopefully it will inspire a FIX because I have been dealing with this for over a month now. So very frustrating.

I’ve done the cookie dance many times. I haven’t gone the browser route, was hoping to avoid that because I only use one browser.
I have sent an email to SUPPORT so we will see what happens…thanks

I would guess it’s a browser problem. I use Firefox both at work and at home, but my work computer is psycho. Many of the tabs on WordPress aren’t visible because all the backgrounds on websites are whited out by the work computer. Based on the video you made, it seems that when you click the ‘Edit’ the browser blinks and jumps to ‘Cancel’.

Heart, I had a thought. I watched the video again and what’s happening is that when you click ‘Edit’ the Save/Publish box moves down and the ‘Cancel’ button appears as it should. What doesn’t appear in the empty space are the drop down boxes with the time and date. The browser is not displaying them although they are there. Check your browser settings to make sure pop-ups are allowed from WordPress. If they are, then try running the cursor over the blank area to see if it changes. I don’t know if you have a PC but if you’re using ‘crappy IE7’ you probably are, then the time/date boxes are there but invisible, the cursor should change when finding the drop downs. You can also try flipping the screen by Control A, the various function keys will be highlighted. If all that fails then you need to try a different browser or have someone you trust check with a different browser. I highly recommend Firefox although Firefox 3.0 is currently a test bed.

Thanks for the tips hummingbunny! I did try it out with firefox, your right, it works in that browser. I think it is specifically an IE7 issue.
