Edit DNS completed, still email does not work
-
Purchased a custom domain from WordPress. Purchased email from Network Solutions using the custom domain. Edited my WordPress DNS Records as Network Solutions indicated. My Network Solutions email still does not receive email.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your DNS records do appear to be a typical setup. If those MX and CNAME records are the one Network Solutions provided you, I’m sure they’re correct.
However, any DNS record changes take time to propagate. Email changes are normally finished in about 4 to 8 hours from when MX records are changed.
Since 19 hours have passed since you made this post, would you please send an email from an outside address to your email managed through Network Solutions?

Thanks Alex, I have sent a number of test emails over more than 24 hours. When I check my email in Network Solutions I am taken directly to my WordPress Blog landing page as if I just navigated to it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @btc141523 – That certainly shouldn’t be happening. Just to clarify, when you login to your Network Solutions email, logging in simply redirects you to pleistocenerewilding.com. Is that correct?

Hi!
I made some adjustments to your CNAME records. Can you let me know if the email starts working within the next 24 hours? I’ll make a note to check back here as well.

Weird – It looks like everything is good to go here. Just to confirm, I’ve added the following records:
MX INBOUND.PLEISTOCENEREWILDING.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET. priority 10 CNAME SMTP alias of SMTP.pleistocenerewilding.com.NETSOLMAIL.NET. CNAME MAIL alias of MAIL.pleistocenerewilding.com.NETSOLMAIL.NET.If this doesn’t start working correctly within the next 12 hours, can you double check that those entries are correct with Network Solutions? I apologize for sending you back and forth. I’ve checked their support documentation, but I can’t identify anything that would indicate these records aren’t correct.

Those are the records Network Solutions gave me. I called their customer service first and they assured the problem was on your end.
-
I understand. The records are entered correctly so I’m not sure what could be causing the issue. If you would like, you can view the records here:
That’s through the following third-party tool:
http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx
If the email address doesn’t start working correctly, I’m afraid I may need some information from them on why this isn’t working.

Okay, Network Solutions agrees that the records are correct. They also say that they can pull up (email visible only to moderators and staff) and see the emails sitting there. So they now think that the company that is hosting pleistocenerewilding.com are not pointed toward the WordPress server. They told me to call Wild West Domains at 480-505-8857 to get this done but when I called them they said that pleistocenerewilding.com is unknown to them and they are sending me back to you. By the way, the phone number for Wild West Domains is also the same number for Domains By Proxy which is listed on my WordPress My Domains page. Please help! I’ve been given the run around on this issue for almost a week now.

All fixed now. I guess Network Solutions has a compatibility issue with Internet Explorer but it works if Chrome is used. I appreciate the help.

Great! I’m glad we got this working in at least one browser. I wonder if clearing the browser’s cache would help IE to work:
Regarding your name servers, they are pointed to WordPress.com. I’m sorry you were sent to a dozen various places to get this working!
