New UI= terrible
I need to embed javascript in the head tags of each of my pages. The new ui makes this damn near impossible. Advise.

Here at WordPress.com, Javascript isn’t allowed. This is from the support document:
Users are not allowed to post JavaScript on WordPress.com blogs. JavaScript can be used for malicious purposes. As an example, JavaScript has taken sites such as MySpace.com and LiveJournal offline in the past. The security of all WordPress.com blogs is a top priority for us, and until we can guarantee scripting languages will not be harmful, they will not be permitted.
JavaScript from trusted partners, such as YouTube and Google Video, is converted into a WordPress shortcode when a post is saved.
Do you have a site hosted here at WordPress.com, or somewhere else?

If Javascript is completely banned, plugins would also be banned. Or are you implying here that the only way to integrate JavaScript is to develop a WP Plugin?

Here at WordPress.com, all of the plugins available to us are already installed. You can read about them here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
Third party plugins can be installed if you self- host with a WordPress.org install. What’s the site you’re having trouble with?
