Edit Followers

Can I edit my followers? Most of the email addresses are inactive and need to be updated. I have updated email info. for most of my followers.

No you can’t. You can provide the email addresses to delete to Staff who will remove them if you post them here. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

I am finding a few people following my blog whose blogs I find offensive. I’m a poet and writer and these unwanted blogs are political and offensive and of no raport with what I post. Is there a way to prevent them from following me?

@threerobertshomeschool, Your followers are able to update their email information and preferences at any time. They can stop receiving messages by going clicking on an unsubscribe link which is sent with any of our messages. If they can’t figure out how to unsubscribe, we can unsubscribe them as a one time courtesy, as @timethief mentioned we’ll just need their email address.
@wrensong, No, there is no way to prevent others from following your blog. Even if we were to go in and remove the followers for you, they are completely free to re-follow you the very next moment (which is why we do not remove followers for folks as a general rule, with the exception of those circumstances I mention above).

Thanks for the response. I guess when we put stuff out there on the web we don’t have much control over where it flies to.

Quite correct to both of you. You can always set your blog to be fully private, so that no one can see your site who hasn’t been specifically invited. It’s considerably more limiting, but that may be something you want to pursue.
