Edit Font-family in a sidebar menu widget
-
I need to change the font of ‘instagram’ and ‘follow me @’ on my sidebar menu widget to match the rest of the page (Anonymous Pro). I tried:
h2.widget-title {
text-align: center;
}That successfully centered it so, have the right element for the ‘Instagram’ title but,
h2.widget-title {
font-family: ‘Anonymous-Pro’;
}didn’t work.
Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi there, I’m not seeing Anonymous Pro on your site because that is not a standard font installed on all computer. With the exception of web fonts, such as those at Customize > Fonts, the browser looks to the visitor’s computer. If the font is not installed on their computer, it simply substitutes a standard serif or sans-serif font built into the browser. Very few visitors will see the font you have chosen.
This website shows the fonts commonly installed on Mac and Windows.
I would suggest finding a font at Customize > Fonts that you like and set that one for the Headings.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I looked through the fonts and choose one installed on Mac & Windows.
But this still didn’t work. This there something I’m missing in the syntax? It centers the text properly but doesn’t change the font.
h2.widget-title {
font-family:”Courier New”;
text-align: center;}

Hi, looking at the original CSS related to the widget titles, we need to use a different CSS selector. Use this instead.
.widget-area .widget-title { text-align: center; font-family: "Courier New"; }If by the off chance that someone does not have Courier New installed (very little chance of that) they will see the original font for the widget titles.

Solved! I’ll know which elements to look for moving forward. Thanks again for your help! :)
