  I am trying to add a copyright all rights reserved and see if I can get rid of the current footer. Can I modify the footer of the nucleare theme? If not, where can my copyright statement go?

  Removing current footer credits ( ‘Blog at WordPress.com’ and theme name) would result in violating WordPress.com terms of service. Please check point# 11 titled Attribution in terms of service here: https://en.wordpress.com/tos/

  You are however free to add custom copyright text around existing credits using Custom CSS upgrade. Let me know if you have that upgrade on your account and if so, which text would you like to add to your footer. I can help you with CSS.
