Edit from Front Side
-
Hello,
I am using the gazette theme
On the front side I am neither able to see “edit” near the end of the post/ page or the admin bar at the top in order to edit the post/page I am viewing. I have to go into the dashboard and search for that post/page.
I have the same theme active on other wordpress.com sites and I have this possibility.
Thanks in advance

Im having the same issue ive spent my whole day trying to figure out the issue with no luck. the other sites ive built have the edit option on the black bar at the top but this new one has no option to edit the homepage and no option to add it to other menus it shows up on the primary menu as a custom link and not an actual page. hopefully someone knows a way around this. setting static homepage does not solve the issue ither and removes all the theme features from the page.

not sure why it added ” the blog i need help with is englishvillage.eu ” to my post. Seems like everything about word press is not working right today :(

After endless trial and error i found the way to do it. you need to create a new blank page then hit quick edit in the page list under your newpage. inside of that theres an option to make it a homepage template, click that and save. Then go into settings on your dash board then click on reading then set page to static page and add a the home page and save. from there go back into customizer and do the static page option in there aswell and save. Thats how i got mine working hopfully you get yours going aswell.
