  How do i edit the title on the homepage?

  I need to change the title of the home page on my wordpress

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  This setting is available in your Dashboard under Settings > General.

  I’m having a similar problem; my homepage link is broken. How do I fix this?
  neither of these work: redwoodempireboules.com or redwoodempireboules.com/26-2/
  and I haven’t got a clue about what the 26-2 means. Can someone help me with this?

  twhitney49: Your homepage looks like that because you do not have any blog posts. If you add blog posts, you’ll see content there.

  If you’d rather used a static page as your home page (I noticed the “Home” link in your menu points to /index/), you can change that setting in Settings > Reading.

  I’m not sure where the 26-2 is coming from, as I do not see that linked anywhere on your site.

  This is not an editing question. You did not clearly state whether or not you already own a domain name or not.

  1. I do not own a domain name yet
  In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

  Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

  2. I already own a domain name
  If you would like to use your domain name purchased elsewhere and map from your free hosted wordpress.com blog to it, then you will first need to set up domain mapping. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  After you make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
