I tried this without success in a Blogroll link, but you can do it in a text widget.
I have set up one on my test site which links back to this forum thread by using this code:
<a href="https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/edit-link-in-blogroll" title="This displays when you hover over the link" target="_blank"><span style="color:#ff0000;">Link to WordPress Forum</span></a>As you can see, the link is in red.

The color of links in the blogroll (links widget) is controlled in the CSS, so unless you have experience editing CSS and buy the CSS upgrade, you cannot change the links colors in the blogroll.
You can as suggested by bigdave44 create your own links widget using a text widget, but you will have to code each link by hand.

Thanks for the help. It would have been nice, but I can live without it. I’d rather have a free app. As far as coding each link, I would be better off putting the energy into my web site. Thanks again.
