Edit my home page under About____ ?

  Hi there, How do I edit my home page? After the title & then About ____, how do I go edit the text?
  Thanks, I’ve been going around in circles trying to figure this out, which I’m sure is very simple…

  Do you want to change this text: Books, Brands, and Bargains?

  I’m not sure what theme you’re using, so this might be theme dependent. But that certainly looks like the site’s tagline. To change the tagline, please follow these steps:

  1 – once your logged into WordPress, click the My Sites link in the top left corner.
  2 – in the menu that appears, click on Settings.
  3 – near the top, you’ll see a field for the Site Tagline. If this is displaying Books, Brands, and Bargains!, change it to whatever you want. Remember to click on the Save Settings button when you’re done.

  If this didn’t help, please tell me what theme you’re using and I’ll find out how you edit that text.

  Thanks for the quick reply jjberg83. At My Site, there is no Settings
  and Site Tagline. Can’t find that anywhere. I’m not sure what theme it is, as it was set up by someone else.

  Ok, try this instead:

  1 – go directly to your wp-admin panel at https://booksandbrands.ca/wp-admin, and log in.
  2 – no go to Settings > General. Here you´ll see the tagline field near the top of the page. Click Save Changes once you´re done, and go and check your results at https://booksandbrands.ca

  Were you able to do it that way?

  There is no General under Settings. No tagline field. :(

  Watching the video, but My Site doesn’t have a Customize button (or Themes)…

  Just a thought. Are you the Admin of that site or just a contributor or author (who won’t have access to all functions of the site)?

  None of those tabs are there for me, so it looks like it’s only for admin.
  :( Now I’m going to look into starting my own site & merging those posts into it…
