Edit my webpage

    When I try to edit my site, it brings me to a page where it says log in with WordPress.com or log in with username and password. When I click log in with WordPress it does nothing, and when I click to log in with username and password it says mine is incorrect, which I know isn’t true because I logged in to type this message.

    Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    What’s the address in your browser when you’re trying to do that?

    The site you mentioned in your post is hosted with Bluehost, not with WordPress.com, so you should be able to edit it by adding /wp-admin to your URL.
    If you have it connected via Jetpack to your WordPress.com site, you could also work on it from here; however, the credentials will be different from those you’ll use on the Bluehost side.

    When I did the /wp-admin it took me to the same place where it says to log in with WordPress.com or log in with username and password and neither works. I am connected to jet pack I’ll see if I can get to the dashboard from there. Thanks

    If neither login works, then I highly recommend you reach out to Bluehost support for help here. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the ones who can reset your site’s login credentials for you so you can log back into your site’s backend again.

    I contacted bluehost initially and they said to contact WordPress. I recently found out I could get to the dashboard page on my phone, it’s just my MacBook Pro that isn’t making it work right. I cleared cookies and didn’t do anything. I’m happy I could at least access and edit my page through the phone but will keep searching for ideas to get it working on my MacBook Pro because it’s a lot easier to edit compared to my phone. Thanks again!

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
