Edit of image link (link to a different page) not reflected in preview
-
I’ve spent a couple of hours on this and can’t figure out what is wrong. I’m a WP novice, but experienced in tech (mainframe) with some webpage editing under my belt.
I have images on a page, each has a link which goes to a different page. One link was wrong. In the visual editor, I click on the image, then the link symbol, then the edit pencil, and correct the link, then save – or even Publish – the page. I then preview the page, and the URL which shows when I hover over that link is _still_ the old one! If I click on it, I get a page not found error, because it is wrong. I’ve tried clearing browser history and data in Firefox, but to no effect.
what am I missing here? Is there some other action needed to make the preview pick up the new change? Oh, if it matters – the error was an underscore “_” in the link which needed to be a hyphen “-“. The edited page shows the hyphen, but the preview still has the underscore
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK – it seems as though this image was in the _template_, not the page. Once I figured that out, I modified the URL in the template and it’s good. I probably need to move the block with the images into the individual pages later, for other reasons, but for now its working.

It sounds like a caching issue. Try clearing your WordPress cache using a caching plugin (if installed) or refreshing the page with Ctrl + F5. Also, check if the change is reflected in an incognito/private browser window. If the issue persists, try updating the link in the HTML editor instead of the visual editor.
