How do I remove “edit” from below each post?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Admin [edit] link is only for your convenience and the convenience of your Editors, if you have any. And only you and your editors can see it and use it while you are logged in to WordPress.com.

Also note that when you create a contact form or when someone makes a comment on your blog or uses the contact form, the next time they come to your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.

I submitted a similar question. When I log into my blog from my wife’s computer (she does not have editorial privileges) I see what must be the admin screen with my avatar that I can click on and get to the Dashboard. I assume anyone who views my log can see the same. I can’t see anything in the free theme menu that gives a hint how to protect the admin page.

    HI wfin1230,

When you say you “log into my blog from my wife’s computer” do you mean you just pull up the address of the blog itself, or you log in with your username/email address and password?

If you go to your blog on a different computer and see your admin bar, that means you either just logged in to WordPress.com or you logged in on that computer previously and didn’t log out, and the cookies on that browser have stored your login information.
