edit or make post template in Penscratch 2 theme

    I have spent hours googling and reading things both on and off WordPress forums to edit or make a new template for posts. They all ask me to look at menus items that don’t exist or are otherwise not applicable to my situation.
    I’m using the theme Penscratch 2.
    Does anyone know how I either access the themes post template
    or how to make a new template from a page (post) with blocks.
    I’m just trying to add 2 blocks to the post template.

    Hi there, WordPress.com likes to keep things simple so we do not have access to edit theme templates, either the HTML or the PHP on WordPress.com unless you have a Business or eCommerce upgrade plan.

    You can however make a “Master” draft post or page that you can then copy for new posts or pages. Here’s more on that: https://wordpress.com/support/copy-a-post-or-page/
