Edit Page don't display revisions

  I seldom, if ever, need to examine prior revisions. The list of revisions clutters my edit-page window. How can I suppress this part of the display? I have tried un-checking Revisions in the View option but the revisions persistently reappear even after I Update.

  Hello there! In order to hide your Revisions box, please do the following:

  1. Click Posts → All Posts.
  2. Open your latest Post.
  3. In the upper, right-hand side of your browser window, you’ll see a Screen Options tab. Click it.
  4. Opt-out of displaying Revisions by un-checking the box.
  5. Click Screen Options to close the box.
