‘edit’ page vs ‘preview’ page

  Hi,
  I am just learning how to create a blog/webpage.
  I spent some time editing a page, and using different fonts, etc. When I went to ‘preview’ most of the editing was gone, with all the fonts looking like typewriter font, and cursor arrows around the poems. What needs to be done for the edited page to load accurately? Thank you
