Edit page won’t load

I have been attempting to edit my site’s home page, but every time I click on the ‘Edit’ link (or the ‘Edit page’ link at the top of the website’s URL itself) it merely gives me the WordPress dashboard on the left of my screen and everything else is blank. Additionally, it seems to take very, VERY long for my site to load up. This issue is not happening with any other tabs I have open on my Chrome browser. Is there currently a connection issue occuring?

Could you try another browser and see if this issue only occurs on Chrome?

Same issue with Microsoft Edge – it’s even worse because now on both browsers it won’t load the page at all – it says “This site can’t be reached – took too long to respond.” This bas never been am issue before.

The same issue remains on both Chrome and Edge – from my WP dashboard I select “Edit page” from my pages list. The next screen keeps the dashboard on the left of the screen, but instead of the editing abilities for the page, the rest of the screen is just blank white. The same thing happens when I go to my actual website and click on the “Edit page” in the top banner.
I have let it sit for hours in case it’s just slow. I have refreshed the page multiple times. This is an issue with WordPress on my particular WP-created website. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO EDIT THIS PAGE TODAY. Is no one from WordPress available to assist? I can’t find a tech support phone number or chat function ANYWHERE.
