‘edit pages’ is opening a blank page with a huge URL that is not the normal page number URL

    Example;-
    edit page link should be- https://wordpress.com/page/momadacunha.wordpress.com/455

    but this only shows for a small time and then finally a blank page is shown with the URL -https://momadacunha.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=455&action=edit&post_type=page&calypsoify=1&block-editor=1&frame-nonce=3d651d9572&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.com&environment-id=production&support_user&_support_token

    This is happening on all pages and both of my sites- http://www.sketchportraitstudios.wordpress.com & http://www.momadacunha.wordpress.com

    How do I get to edit my pages on both of these sites?

    First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

    Hi MacManx

    I am using chrome browser for web books, its from 2016 update version and can no longer auto-update, however it was working fine 5 says ago when I last edited the sites and is still working ok on 99% of the many sites I browse each day.

    ITEM 1
    Have cleared browser cache and cookies and still get same issue.

    ITEM 2
    I have no browser extensions or add-ons that I am aware of.

    Im not a software engineer but it looks like the browser correctly identifies the correct page URL as shown in my first mail and then somehow is being re-directed (during the process of building the page-up on screeen but before content appears) to another URL which is basically a string of HTML commands?

    Hi Rob,

    This is probably due to that outdated version of Chrome that you’re using. We constantly release new versions of our interface and we don’t maintain compatibility with older browsers.

    What I recommend doing is installing a different browser. You can select one from this page:

    Hi

    Currently there is no update available for my samsung XE303 c12 netbook, which is a shame as i dont have any other computer available to use right now. Will see if I can configure something on Brave if thats compatible with wordpress?

    Also, are you sure this is the issue as its lots of time and trouble to get Brave working on this old netbook? I can access all of wordpress accounts and features except “edit page”. Surely these would also not be capable of editing if the issue was just a new incompatible version of your software? (just asking)

    I’m not able to reproduce the issue in the current Chrome, and officially we can only offer support for the current version of Chrome and one version back, so Chrome 91 and 90.

    Are you able to try any other browser?
