  I read in a prior post that this is a bug found with IE 8 users, which makes sense, as I’ve never experienced this problem before; and I just recently installed upgraded to IE 8. Has a fix been found for this? It’s making posting a very NOT FUN experience. Thanks! Mary

  You still have to make sure you are running the IE8 browser in compatibility mode. If you do that, then there are no issues.

  The issue is not with WordPress, it is with Microsoft.

  Go here, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/features/easier.aspx and then click on “compatibility view in the left hand menu section.

  Off topic, I find it amusing that IE is the only browser in the world that needs a “compatibility view” setting.

  Two days ago another blogger had the same problem and what worked for him:
  was doing as thesacredpath said above and also increasing the number of lines in the post box
  > Dashboard> Settings > Writing
  Writing Settings
  Size of the post box ___lines
  “Save Changes”
