Edit Phone Number on Footer

I want to edit the phone number of the site I now manage https://www.relaxbedding.com.au/. Note that I am not the one who made the site, I am just the administrator (and I have no way to contact the developer).

I wish there is feature here in this forum so I can attach a screenshot of what I need to edit. So I’ll just describe what I see.

As I said, I wanted to edit the phone number at the site’s footer. I found out from another forum that I could do so by going to the Appearance menu in the WordPress dashboard; and so it was, I was able to find it. However, it was just a toggle widget with a check box that allowed me to turn on/off whether to show the phone number or not (as with the other contact details). It did not allow me to edit it, though.

I appreciate if someone here in this forum can tell me where this footer widget is extracting the details of the contact info, so I can edit it.

Additional info, when I did an “inspect element” on my browser, the Phone Number showed “wpseo-phone” as it’s class.

    Hello sid477021262,

Your website appears to be using WordPress.org, while these forums generally provide support for WordPress.com sites. The WordPress.com and WordPress.org support article helps to explain the difference. WordPress.org has its own support forums.

That being said, it looks like the site you mentioned is using the “Avada” theme. A quick search turned up this support article about customizing the footer. Once you have enabled the footer widgets, you will then need to go to Appearance > Widgets to edit the actual contents.

    Best of luck,
    Samiff

    Hi Samiff,

    Thanks for the reply.

Actually, that is where I went — Appearance >> Widget. But as I said previous, I did not see a field where I could edit the text of the phone number; what I saw was a toggle check box that can turn on or off whether the number can appear or not. It is just check box, no text field. How I wish I can show you a screenshot, but this form does not have a feature to attach photos.

    Hi again Samiff,

Thanks for the video. The thing is, the video showed that the texts in the footer can indeed be edited in the “Appearance >> Widget. What it showed was under the different footer columns are the texts of words in the footer.

However, my WordPress shows no text fields but check boxes. Now I am able to provide a screenshot using Imgur; here it is https://i.imgur.com/dW9dHxy.png. As you can see, the footer widget only has check boxes, unlike the one in the video where it has an editable text field.
