Edit process can’t load

Dear madam or sir,
lately, I have had a problem with loading the pages on my site. More specifically, when I try to edit any page, the page can’t load. I have tried to open my site from different browsers and also deleted cookies but the problem remained the same; the page can’t load and keeps on loading status.
Could you please help me resolve this issue?

I’m having the same problem–I can load drafts or scheduled posts that I’ve already worked on, but the ones with just a title won’t load at all. Using different browsers and clearing data does nothing.

Workaround for now – if you open the WordPress App on a mobile device you can edit the page. Add some text to the main text block, save and wait 30 seconds. Reload the page in your browser and it will load.

We experienced a technical issue earlier on today with the posts and pages panel on WordPress.com – understandably, we deemed this quite a high priority fix, and have since solved this issue.
We’d recommend clearing the browser cache here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache if you’re not seeing this resolved.
We hope this clears things up, and thank you for your patience while we fixed that.

@rebeccadeniston: Hm, that should have fixed things. It’s possible that the server closest to your geolocation might not have updated fast enough.
Could you clear your browser cache again and check? If it’s not working we’d like to know in case it affects more than just you.

I already have, thanks, and it’s still not working. Mascorella’s hack is a good stopgap for now, but obviously it’s a temporary solution.

To rule out any other variables, can you try doing the same thing in a different browser on your computer? For example, if you are using Chrome to access WordPress.com, what if you try it using Firefox or MS Edge (Internet Explorer) instead, do you still have the same problem?
Another thing you can try (using your regular browser) is to open an “incognito” or “private” browsing session, and try to edit in WordPress.com that way. Are you able to edit if you log in using an incognito session instead?

Yeah, Firefox works a little better sometimes. It’s just really slow. I can try Incognito and see if that helps. And you’re very welcome–thanks for your help! :-)

Happy to help. If it continues to act slowly in FF after 24 hours can you open up a new thread to let us know? That could be a separate issue but would be difficult to investigate now due to the recent fix we pushed out.
It can be the case that these take a bit of time for the “dust to settle” and it’s our hope that is the case here.
